NEXT SHOW: Mike Freeman, Bleacher Report
One of my goals for 2014 was to start a video blog (vlog). Think of it as me taking this blog and putting it in video form. I thought the idea of Google+’s Hangouts feature would provide that vehicle. The more I thought about it though, the less I liked the idea of me just talking at viewers. That’s not my style.
As I listened and watched Hangouts, I realized it wasn’t a vlog I wanted to do. I wanted to do a show. A sports social media show. There is only one that I know of on Google+ (G+) as of the start of 2014. So, I set out to start my own with great trepidation. Putting myself out there for the world to see…well, like I said above, is not my style. What is my style is finding the “next” thing. I’ve ridden the wave of Twitter from its early days in sports. It was time for a new challenge.
Thus, Tuesday Ten was born.
Tuesday Ten is a quick 10-minute chat with leaders and up-and-comers in the world of sports in: media, business, social media, marketing, education and more.
Why only 10 minutes? People are busy, especially in sports. I don’t want to take up too much of my guests’, or my audience’s, valuable time. So far, this has proven quite effective. (Thank you viewers and guests, so far).
Here is my latest Tuesday Ten episode:

THE FUTURE: I plan on continuing with the Tuesday Ten episodes. But, I will be adding more shows to my plate. One will be on Hispanics/Latinos in sports under The Sporting Nation. That will be on a monthly basis. My friend Russell S. Baxter (@BaxFootballGuru) and I are hosting an NFL show – The 1st and 60 Show. And, one more I can’t mention yet because…well…it’s in the discussion stages. Stay tuned!
