#SportsDoingGood: Thanksgiving

On this day in America, it is a day of thanks. Judging by this tweet (the “teammance” between the Detroit Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens is a sight to behold), it’s a day for thankfulness in sports too.

Athletes, teams, leagues and organizations are doing good all of the time. It just doesn’t get reported like it does around this time of year. “Good” is done all year round with sports as the vehicle, around the world. That’s part of the impetus for my #SportsDoingGood series. It’s a year-round thing, just like thankfulness. But, I would be remiss if I didn’t do a quick post as to what has been going on around the Thanksgiving holiday.

So, Happy Thanksgiving. Happy Hanukkah. Happy Thanksgivukkah or whatever you are celebrating on this day, including football. Enjoy this quick peek at how sports continues to do good.

Peace and long life.
