Spanning the Twitterverse: Friday Fun Tweets

Spanning the Twitterverse to bring you the constant variety of tweets
The thrill of the retweet and the agony of the unfollow
The human drama of the twitter timeline
This is CadChica’s Wide World of Tworts

No fanfare this time. No drawn out pre-blog festivities. No fluff. Just Friday Fun Tweets.

I can’t think of a better way to start than with this doozy from track star Lolo Jones:

Late yesterday, there was a roster cut by one of the Super Bowl teams. As you would expect, it could only be the New England Patriots. Yes, Tiquan Underwood was cut the day before the Super Bowl. Cold blooded by any standard but that is the nature of the business. It does, however, make me wonder what he did about this:

The craziest day in all of college football is finally done! National Letter of Intent Day (Signing Day) took place on February 1st. That was the first day high school recruits could sign “and fax” their letter of intent to the school of their choice. Yes, the fax machine is still in vogue… college sports at least.

The Washington Huskies might have ramped up the announcement craziness with this:

It wouldn’t be a post without at least a couple of tweets before the Big Game. These were just a few of the examples of the funny pre-game tweets this past week.

So many to choose from this week, I couldn’t choose just one.

Bonus coverage? Yes, I’m providing bonus coverage this week with an extra tweet worth checking out.

While the tweet itself isn’t the tweet of the week, the link “in the tweet” to the Storify story is worth it. 5000 people playing dodgeball!!! There is no way I could pass that up. Click the link in the tweet or find the story here.
