Spanning the Twitterverse: Lockout This!

Spanning the Twitterverse to bring you the constant variety of tweets
The thrill of the retweet and the agony of the unfollow
The human drama of the twitter timeline
This is CadChica’s Wide World of Tworts

The lockout is over. NFL & the non-union formerly known as the NFLPA have agreed to a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. You know what that means don’t you? Nothing but NFL tworts today

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We begin with an unfollow request. Chris Harris is no longer an employed tweeter now that the lockout is done. He was a tweeting fool up ’til today. One fan didn’t care for that too much, and told him so.
Okay, so the lockout is over. Throughout the process though, Andrew Brandt has talked about this being like “labor” pains (pun intended). And how did Mr. Brandt tweet the news?
And what kind of post would this be if we didn’t have at least one tweet about one of the many NFL advertisers.
THEN THERE’S THIS ONE. “CAPITALIZING” ON HIS EXCITEMENT.
In several previous posts, I liked to include signs that members of the NFL media were going through withdrawals. Liz Mathews was one of my favorites. Now that the lockout is done, here’s what she had to say:
Pete Carroll and khakis are synonymous with each other. Whether he was with USC or now with the Seahawks, he’s always wearing khakis on the sidelines. Of course there is a Twitter account devoted to his khakis. And they were very happy about the end to the lockout today too.
Trash talk between players did start a bit earlier today though. Jay Feely with an “OH SNAP” tweet to Leon Washington.
Who says punters don’t have street cred? Okay so maybe that’s a stretch, but they do try don’t they? Right Josh Scobee?
TWEET OF THE DAY
I loved watching Walter Payton when I was growing up. And although he’s gone now, his memory lives on, even as the NFL lockout ended.
